The Development Organization of Crete, within the framework of the Open Doors of Wineries institution, is organizing on Thursday, May 16, 2025 at 17:30, at the Dourakis Winery, an open conference on the topic: “The next day of wine tourism in Crete”.

Wine tourism, an activity that has been developing steadily in Crete over the last two decades, has now evolved into a key axis of the agrotourism and cultural map of the island. The conference aims to highlight the challenges and opportunities of the sector, to map the needs of wine producers, and to examine the next steps for a more qualitative and sustainable development.
The panel of speakers includes distinguished guests from Greece and abroad:
- The Operations Manager and Head Sommelier of the internationally renowned La Cit? du Vin in Bordeaux,
- The President of the National Wine Tourism Council of the Ministry of Tourism,
- As well as active members of the wine community of Crete.
At the same time, the new financial tools that are expected to be activated within the framework of the New Programming Period will be presented, giving impetus to entrepreneurs and professionals active in the wine tourism sector.
The conference has a developmental nature and is organized by Wines of Crete, the Heraklion Development Agency, and the Crete Development Organization.
