In a unique setting, at the “Shepherd’s Place” in Anogia, Crete, celebrates its flavors and culture through an open event that will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24, at 19:00, as part of the two-day experiential thematic workshop LOCAL TOUR (24-25/06).
The evening begins with winemaker and member of the Board of Wines of Crete, Zacharias Diamantakis, who will highlight the close relationship between cheese and wine, with a parallel tasting of local cheeses and 18 selected labels of Cretan wines.
Immediately afterwards, gastronomy takes over: chef Lefteris Soultatos curates an outdoor kitchen and creative food styling based on cheese and authentic raw materials from the region. The new proposals will be presented by actress Vasso Laskaraki, offering a special narrative to the tasting experience.
The event culminates with live music by Vasilis Dramountani (mandolin) and Giorgos Spahis (lyra), in an authentic Anogia feast under the Cretan sky.
The action takes place within the framework of the Local Tour initiative and is linked to the planning of Crete as a European Region of Gastronomy for 2026.
