The Honorary Consul of France in Lesvos and Lemnos, Sofia Baroutsaki-Tsirigoti, and the action “Cinema and Food Culture: From France to Lesvos” are organizing a unique event that bridges cinema, gastronomy and science.
From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 July, the beach of Anaxos in Western Lesvos will be transformed into an open stage of cultural experience, with French films, talks, tastings and narratives that illuminate the multiple aspects of food as an element of identity, tradition and knowledge.
The event focuses on the cultural dimension of nutrition, as it is shaped through:
tasty traditions and local products,
herbs and memory narratives,
French cinema as a mirror of social and nutritional patterns,
and scientific thought, which contributes to the understanding of food as a cultural phenomenon.
A three-day multi-sensory experience, inviting residents and visitors to get to know Lesvos through the lens of France, the flavors of the Mediterranean and the power of cultural exchange.
