The Municipality of Piraeus celebrates for the 11th year the “Sea Days 2025” with a free, multi-thematic program that unites the sea, culture and gastronomy. At the helm of the flavors, the 2-star Michelin award-winning Thanos Feskos, the acclaimed Alexandros Papandreou, the pastry chef Christos Vergados and Christos Moiras. Highlights include the “Piraeus Taste Fair”, the cinematic “Cinema on the Plate”, the island “Sparos Festival” in Piraeus and the authentic “Tsikoudia Festival” in Marina Zea. A week that smells of iodine, freshly cooked fish and fresh ideas.

The journey begins in Mikrolimano (today Thursday, 19:00–23:00), in a brilliant evening of taste and music. In the live cooking session, Thanos Feskos is inspired by the city’s maritime identity, while the Enchord String Quartet provides musical accompaniment to the experience.

In Korai Square, “Cinema on the Plate” combines live cooking demonstrations with screenings of favorite films. On Friday 26/9 (19:30) Alexandros Papandreou serves Italian inspirations, followed by a screening of the film “Eat, Pray, Love” (20:30). On Saturday 27/9 (19:30) Christos Vergados raises the bar of pastry, with a finale of the film “Kung Fu Panda 4” (20:30).

On the morning of Saturday 27 September (11:00–14:00), Korai Square becomes a crossroads of flavors from Vietnam, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, China, Panama and Romania, in collaboration with the respective embassies. On the same day, in Ormos tis Aphrodites (Piraiki), the “Sparos Festival” sets up an island feast with fresh grilled fish, appetizers, beer and singing with Matthew Giannoulis and Maria Nomikou.

On Sunday, September 28 (11:00–14:00), the “Kids Cooking Party” brings young cooks into the kitchens with Christos Moiras for creative play with flavors that last. In the evening (20:30), the “Tsikoudia Festival” at Marina Zea brings to life rakokazana, Cretan appetizers and music by Manolis Kontaros, highlighting gastronomy as an act of hospitality.

From tomorrow, Friday, until Sunday, October 5, Pasalimani is transformed into a colorful gastronomic market: the “Piraeus Taste Fair” brings together producers, delicatessens and Greek superfoods from every corner of the country.
