Tripadvisor | 9 Greek restaurants among the best in the world for 2025 - Which are the best in Greece

The world’s leading travel platform Tripadvisor has announced the best restaurants in the world for 2025, awarding the annual Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Restaurants to the top 1% of all restaurant listings on the platform that receive the best reviews.

Among the winners are nine Greek restaurants that have won global awards in different categories. Specifically, in the “Casual Dining” category, Thes “Greek Creative Cuisine” in Athens was distinguished, which was ranked 8th best in the world, and Petousis Restaurant in Crete, as the 25th best in the same category.

In the category of the best “Hidden Gems” restaurants in the world, Symposio in Athens, in 24th place, and Theodosi in Crete, in 17th place.

Three other Greek restaurants, located in Rhodes, were awarded in the world ranking of the best for “Date Night”: Ginger A La Carte (9th place), Mylos A La Carte (14th place) and Blue Bay A la Carte (19th place).

The global distinctions continue with two more restaurants in Crete, Olondi, which was named 5th best in the world in the “Pet Friendly” category and 14th in the 25th Anniversary category of Tripadvisor, as well as Nostos, which for 2025 was named 11th in the ranking of the best “Vegan” restaurants in the world.

At the European level, the “tops” were taken by the restaurants Five Senses Restaurant in Santorini (10th place) and Mylos A La Carte in Rhodes (20th place), in the “gourmet” (“Fine Dining”) category.

The awards are based on real reviews and ratings from travelers from around the world, submitted for restaurants during the 12-month period from August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025. For 2025, they include a total of eight subcategories, from Fine Dining, Casual Dining, Vegan & Vegetarian to special occasions like Date Night and Hidden Gems, and even Pet-Friendly.

At the same time, Tripadvisor presents the 25 best “gourmet” (“Fine Dining”) restaurants in Greece, with Santorini and Rhodes taking the honor with 8 and 7 restaurants respectively…
