Tension outside Greek Labor Ministry with Athens Ledra Hotel employees

A number of disgruntled employees at the Athens Ledra Hotel clashed with riot police, as they attempted to enter the Ministry of Labor on Wednesday. The police managed to repel the protesters, lightly injuring the employee union president in the process.

A delegation of employees has arranged to meet with a ministry representative in order to discuss developments in their case. The hotel has experienced major financial problems in recent years and announced that it would cease to operate at the end of May.
