5-star hotel planned in Elounda, Crete by Greek shipowner Spyros Ranis

A five-star hotel in Elounda is being prepared by Greek shipowner Spyros Rani, who already owns the 5-star Astir Odysseus Resort and Spa in Kos.

The construction of the hotel is planned to commence in 2018 on a privately owned coastal area of about 170 acres in Tsifliki area of Elounda and will have a capacity of about 800 beds.

The cost of the investment is expected to reach 70 million euros.

The hotel is expected to open in 2020 and include even an astronomical observatory among the facilities.

According to reports, the hotel will be managed by AVRA Hotels Collection, which is based in Heraklion Crete and already runs the Astir Odysseus Resort and Spa, as well as the Mirabello Beach @ Village, Hermes and Coral hotels.

Another 5-star hotel in Elounda, with a capacity of 176 beds, is also being planned by Energy Technological Development SA
