The application process for companies wishing to participate in the OAED employment program, which provides for the subsidization of seasonal hotel businesses outside Attica and Thessaloniki for the preservation of jobs during the winter season, will be finalized on Friday 23 March.
The right to submit applications, as provided for in Invitation 2/2018, has been granted to hotel units and all types of accommodation businesses that cumulatively fulfill the following conditions:
- They should be operating outside the Attica region and the city of Thessaloniki.
- They should have a Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) active license.
- They should be seasonal having interrupted their operation for the period from 1 November to 28 February for at least two years during the five-year period 2012-2016. Companies that participated in at least one of the previous winter job preservation programs or are new hotel establishments (starting from 1 January 2016 onwards) have the right to submit an application if they ceased their operation before 1 st November 2016
Hotel establishments that have been operational since 1 November 2016 are not subsidized.
Applications will be submitted electronically, exclusively on OAED’s website (www.oaed.gr), in the field of registration of electronic applications, from 11am, Tuesday, 23th January to 12am on 23rd March.
Beneficiaries are hoteliers who are entitled to regular unemployment benefit at the start of the extension period, ie on 1-11-2017.
Hotel staff to be benefited should be employed on 31-10-2017, the day before the start of the extension period.
It is not possible to include hotel staff in the program, who prior to 1 November 2016 had a continuous 12-month job in the same or another hotel business.
