Hotels in winter destinations in Greece are at almost 80% occupancy for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, according to sector representatives, naftemporiki.gr reports.
The president of the Ioannina prefecture’s hoteliers’ association, Konstantinos Vlachos, put the figure at 75% for his northwest mountainous region, among the more popular winter destinations in Greece. He said more than 200 units of all sizes are now in operation.
Bookings in the Volos/Pilion region of central Greece extrapolate into a 70% occupancy rate for the holidays.
