The Christmas season was welcomed to Athens with a spirited tree lighting ceremony at the renowned Hotel Grande Bretagne with style and grace, as would be expected, along with the pleasant surprise of the voices and laughter of elementary school students, thenationalherald.com reports.
The lobby was wonderfully decorated and the huge live tree that seems to burst through the ceiling was revealed with curtains drawn open to the delight of the guests after a wonderful concert of Christmas songs and carols.
