Arrivals in tourist accommodation establishments of various kinds increased by 3.5% to 1,167,330 in March 2024, while nights spent in such accommodation increased to 2,642,364 in the same month, recording an increase of 4.9% relative to the corresponding month of 2023, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced on Tuesday, ANA reports.
Specifically, in March 2024 compared with the corresponding month of 2023, there was an increase of 4.2% in arrivals and 6.2% in nights spent by non-residents, while there was an increase of 3.1% in arrivals and 3.8% in overnight stays by residents.
The highest contribution in both arrivals and nights spent for the total of tourist accommodation establishments was observed for residents with 58.3% and 55.1%, respectively.
The average length of stay for all types of tourist accommodation establishments during March 2024 reached 2.3 days.
