Arrivals and overnight stays in Hotel-Type Accommodation, Camping and Short-Stay Collective Accommodation (rented rooms) increased in November, compared to the same month last year, according to ELSTAT data.
Specifically, in November 2024, arrivals in tourist accommodation amounted to 1,014,522 and overnight stays to 2,279,499, recording an increase compared to the corresponding month of 2023, by 2.9% in arrivals and 3.5% in overnight stays.
Compared to the corresponding month of 2023, an increase of 4.5% in arrivals and 5.2% in overnight stays by foreigners was observed. Correspondingly, for residents, an increase in arrivals and overnight stays was observed by 1.6% and 1.9%, respectively.
A greater contribution to arrivals in total accommodation was observed by residents at 53.9% and to overnight stays by foreigners with 50.2%. The average total overnight stay for the month of November 2024 amounted to 2.2 days.
