Panhallenic Hotelier President: 2025 will follow in the footsteps of 2024

The new tourist season for Greece will follow in the footsteps of 2024, estimates former POX president Grigoris Tasios, who, due to his position as president of the Halkidiki Hoteliers Association and president of the Halkidiki Tourism Organization, attends international tourist events, exhibitions, etc.

After noting in Tornos News that Greece sells as an international destination, he focuses on the major thorns for tourism businesses and hotels in particular, which are none other than their operating costs.

As he explains, these can no longer be assigned to Tour Operators since, in turn, they sign low contracts with Turkey. At the same time, hotel companies can no longer absorb them, since the costs of food and electricity are constantly galloping.

The mix for business funds is explosive, a fact that is also reinforced by the implementation of the digital card, but also the increase in labor costs, a result of the lack of workers in the sector.

At this point, Mr. Tasios stands by the new positive data that emerges from the implementation of the unified list of needs for jobs that all regions of the country have and has been implemented by the Ministry of Migration Policy.

This is a very good development, Mr. Tasios notes, since this way, all needs are reflected nationwide and not in a single region as was the case in the past. This way, the program of transferring workers from abroad will be able to run better, Mr. Tasios estimates, with what this implies for the smooth operation of tourism businesses.
