The Athens Traffic Police decided to temporarily stop vehicle traffic on specific road sections in the center of Athens on Sunday, July 6, from 07:00 to 15:00.
The relevant decision was made due to the execution of works that have been scheduled to be carried out on the facade of the Hotel Grande Bretagne, on the condition that the road markings provided for by the Law will be placed by those responsible, for the timely diversion of traffic and the prevention of the risk of causing traffic accidents.
The temporary stoppage of vehicle traffic will take place on the following road sections:
-On the far right section of the roadway of Vas. Georgiou A’ Street, at the height of the 1st intersection.
-On the left lane of Panepistimiou Street, at the height of its intersection with Vas. Georgiou A’ Street.
During the above interruption, vehicle traffic will be carried out on the remaining width of the roadway. In the event of a serious traffic disruption, the above works will be interrupted by order of the Supervisory Officer of the Attica Traffic Directorate or the Commander of the locally competent Traffic Department. This decision does not replace any other permits or approvals (intersection permit, consent of O.A.S.A., KTEL, etc., quiet hours, etc.), which must be obtained for the said works.
