Wyndham: Agreement for 25 new hotels in Germany and Austria

  • Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its partnership with Gorgeous Smiling Hotels (GSH), signing 25 new agreements for hotels in Germany and Austria, in some of Europe’s most strategically important markets.

The new agreements, corresponding to almost 2,500 rooms and following the merger of GSH with the Aspire Hotel Group, are a significant milestone in Wyndham’s long-standing partnership with GSH, a partnership that has grown into one of the strongest in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region since its inception in 2016.

In central locations such as Stuttgart, Munich, Hanover and Vienna, the new hotels will offer travelers easy access to world-famous attractions and cultural experiences, such as Vienna’s imperial palaces and concert halls, Munich’s historic old town and beer gardens (traditional restaurants and bars), Stuttgart’s car museums and vibrant arts scene, and Hanover’s trade fairs and green spaces.

Whether traveling for leisure, business or attending a major event, each hotel will offer a unique and ideal base that reflects the character and culture of each city.

Mr. Dimitris Manikis, President, Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: “The DACH region is one of the most dynamic and strategically important markets in Europe, combining strong business centers, vibrant leisure destinations and high volume of international travel. Expanding our partnership with Gorgeous Smiling Hotels allows us to strengthen our presence in key cities such as Munich, Vienna and Stuttgart, where demand for quality accommodations is growing. This expansion not only strengthens our scale and market leadership, but also our ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences, while creating long-term value for partners and investors.”

Gorgeous Smiling Hotels CEOs Heiko Grote and Andreas Erben said: “We are proud to be the first to introduce the Super 8 brand to Germany, a milestone that reflects the strength of our long-standing partnership with Wyndham. By adding an additional 25 hotels to the Wyndham portfolio, this expansion further deepens our partnership, combining local expertise with Wyndham’s international reach to create long-term value. Together, we are building a shared vision for growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.”
