The Saronic Gulf Port Authority has decided to take policing measures during a drone swarm flight during events in front of the Four Seasons hotels in Vouliagmeni and Grand Resort Lagonissi in Lagonisi in order to ensure the physical integrity of bathers, prevent and avoid accidents, ensure safe navigation and protect the marine environment.
In detail for the period of October 29, and from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. decided to prohibit anchoring and passage of all types of ships – boats, regardless of Flag, setting of all types of anchorages-mooring points, mooring from fixed or non-fixed points of the coastline, within the maritime area delimited by specific imaginary lines that connect points with geographical coordinates in the maritime area of ??Vouliagmeni for the flight of a swarm of drones in front of the Four Seasons hotel. A corresponding decision was taken for October 30th and from 21:00 to 22:00 pm in the maritime area of ??Lagonisi Vouliagmeni for the flight of a swarm of drones in front of the Grand Resort Lagonissi hotel. For both cases, the company DRONE SHOW EXPERIENCE IKE submitted a relevant request.
The same decision prohibited the removal of bathers from the coasts near the specific sea areas at a distance greater than 50 meters. Those exercising the governance of ships assume all obligations and responsibilities arising from the applicable legislation for the governance of ships, as well as the responsibility for compliance with the special provisions concerning the movement, circulation-navigation and governance-handling of these ships. In any case, the Governors are obliged to comply with the applicable provisions – international regulations on navigation safety, collision avoidance, protection of bathers and the marine environment. Violators of the said decision, regardless of any concurrent civil, criminal and disciplinary responsibilities under the applicable legislation, are also subject to the sanctions of art. 157 of the Public Maritime Law Code.
