Lesante Classic in Tsilivi, the first five-star hotel in Zakynthos, is implementing an extensive two-year upgrade program that is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026. The resort is investing in the total remodeling of the facilities, aesthetics, and the way guests experience it.

Affordable Luxury Philosophy
A central axis of the new design is the adoption of an affordable luxury philosophy, which highlights natural materials and the essence of Greek hospitality.
The first stage of the project included the radical renewal of its 119 rooms and suites, so that they exude a sense of comfort, warmth and elegance. The use of wood and stone, combined with linen fabrics, organic textures and earthy shades such as beige and ecru, creates an environment with soft tones, minimal lines and Mediterranean simplicity.
The location of Lesante Classic was a key source of inspiration, as the bright light and palette of the Ionian Sea – the blue of the sea, the soft tones of the sand and the elements of the landscape – led to a color and material approach that “conversed” discreetly with the environment.
The living spaces were designed to function as a personal sanctuary, with a timeless character and calm geometry, while technology is integrated through modern lighting, air conditioning and connectivity systems.
Accommodation options include the 30 sq m Deluxe Rooms with garden or pool views, the 38 sq m Executive Rooms with pool views, the 60 sq m Deluxe Family Rooms, ideal for families, as well as the 140 sq m Grand Suites with private terrace and outdoor jacuzzi.
Inspired by Zakynthos
In parallel, the second phase of the project is underway, which concerns the redesign of the public areas and the exterior facades of the hotel. The surrounding area and the central swimming pool are taking on a new form, with an emphasis on enhancing the presence of greenery.
The facades and outdoor areas are designed with natural materials, selected for their durability in the coastal environment and their ability to ideally integrate into the landscape of Zakynthos. The overall architectural approach prioritizes the purity of the surfaces and the way in which the Mediterranean light highlights the textures.
The remodeling of Lesante Classic is not only an architectural project, but also a conscious investment in the community of the island. The expertise of local professionals in relation to materials, the specificities of the island environment and the demands of the coastal climate contributed decisively to the creation of a result with an authentic, handmade character. Many of the distinctive aesthetic elements, such as wooden structures, custom-made furniture and Mediterranean textures, bear the stamp of Zakynthian creators. This choice strengthens the local economy, as well as the inextricable connection of the resort with the special character and physiognomy of the island.
Gastronomy in the foreground
In the context of the renewal of Lesante Classic, gastronomy, a key element of its identity, is also evolving significantly. With a long history of collaborations with top Greek chefs, including Dimitris Skarmoutsos, Dimitris Katrivesis and Nikos Thomas, today the kitchen is under the guidance of chef Thodoris Christakis. The restaurants are being modernized, with an emphasis on local produce and modern Greek flavors, with the aim of offering high-level gastronomy.
