“Be Boutique”: The Boutique Hotel Program of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels at Xenia 2025 – A Unified Vision for Boutique Hospitality in Greece
The role of boutique hospitality in modern tourism development and the opportunity for owners of small hotel units and entrepreneurs to invest in a differentiated, high-quality hospitality product was highlighted by the Boutique Hotel Program of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels at the international exhibition Xenia 2025, where it participated with the main message “Be Boutique.”
Through the national certification mark and a comprehensive benefits program, the initiative enhances the prestige and competitiveness of Greek hotels, elevating the overall guest experience.
It is noted that during the exhibition, the Boutique Hotel Program’s stand became a reference point and meeting place for hospitality professionals, state representatives, and members of the Board of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.
The President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and President of HOTREC, Mr. Alexandros Vasilikos, emphasized that the Chamber actively and systematically supports the community, stating:
“Boutique Hotels showcase Greek hospitality in the best possible way and contribute to sustainable tourism development. The Program is not merely a certification, but a living entity that unites creativity, quality, and modern entrepreneurship in the hospitality sector.”
It is also noted that the Program’s Scientific Director, Ms. Aimilia Vlami, presented at the 13th General Assembly of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels the evolution and developmental trajectory of the certified boutique hotel community, which now counts over 280 members. As she highlighted,
“the concept of boutique no longer corresponds solely to design, but represents an entire hospitality philosophy. The Program is not just a certification, but a network of collaboration and inspiration, with annual activities in promotion, training, and networking, showing how a small Greek hotel with a unique concept can ‘speak’ to a global audience.”
Within the framework of the exhibition, the Program held the special thematic event “Be Boutique: The Story Behind the Stay.” Through their presentations, distinguished industry professionals Konstantinos Triantafyllis, General Manager of MINDHAUS; Nikos Karaflos, owner of Dexamenes Seaside Hotel; Nana Kantsa, Design Consultancy Architect; and Andreas Sfyridis, Visual Storyteller – Hotel Photographer, highlighted the importance of concept, design, and storytelling in shaping the identity and experiential quality of a Boutique Hotel.
Through all its activities at Xenia 2025, the Boutique Hotel Program community emerged as a unified vision and a vibrant network of collaboration, promoting authenticity, creativity, and modern entrepreneurship, setting new standards for boutique hospitality in Greece and paving the way for the future of Greek hotels.
