Measures to support domestic tourism are planned by the government of Russia.
The proposed measures, that will be finalized in February, include:
– Support for tour operators, who specialize in inner tourism
– Amend Legislation amendment for tourist apartments and houses which will introduce the compulsory classification of all accomodation units.
– Establishment of zero VAT rate for domestic airlines.
– Discount 50% for rail transport of children aged 10-17 years throughout the year;
– Advertising campaign to encourage domestic tourism and attract foreign tourists to Russia.
