Greek Tourism SETE President: +4.1% summer bookings on Amadeus in February

Summer bookings for Greece through the Amadeus system record a 4.1% increase in February, compared to the same month last year, according to data tracked by Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) Intelligence and announced by SETE President Mr. Andreas Andreadis on twitter.

Reservations from the UK, France, Russia and the Nordic countries are up, bookings from Germany and Poland are steady and bookings from Austria, Belgium and Netherlands are down.

January bookings through Amadeus increased by 1%.

Apparently, the increase in bookings is not allocated evenly to all regions of the country and island destinations, since areas affected by the refugee crisis, show asignificant slowdown.

Bookings for Spain in February show an increase of 6.6% (and 7.3% in January), while in Turkey they have slumped by 26.3% in February and by 25.4% in January.
