Revenue from tourism records increase of 10% in Cyprus

Revenue from tourism reached €371,0 mn in September 2017 compared to €337,1 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a rise of 10.1%, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service, on the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey.

For the period of January – September 2017 revenue from tourism is calculated at €2.216,7 mn compared to €1.962,7 mn in the corresponding period of 2016, recording an increase of 12,9%.

The expenditure per person for September 2017 reached €766,89 compared to €800,22 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a drop of 4.2%. The expenditure per person/per day for September 2017 compared to September 2016 also recorded a decrease of 4.2%.
