A large increase in Dutch tourists is expected this year by the Ionian Islands as a result of the participation of the Ionian Islands Region in the exhibition “Vakandiebeurs 2018” in Utrecht, held from 9 to 14 January.
The Ionian Islands Region participated in the stand of the Hellenic Tourism Organization , co-sponsored by major Greek enterprises and institutions, including the Regions, the Ionian Islands, the North Aegean, Crete, the Kos Municipality and the Halkidiki Promotion Organization.
Every year thousands of people visit the exhibition, as it is one of the most important events taking place in the Netherlands. This year, the Greek Ambassador to The Hague, Dimitris Chronopoulos, the GNTO Secretary General Konstantinos Tsagas, journalists from Europe along with journalists of Greek television ERT showed up at the event.
