The Egyptian envoy to Greece Farid Monib sent a clear message that the relations between Greece and Egypt are of deep and historical importance and at this moment are witnessing the best level of cooperation and coordination in an interview with Athens-Macedonian News Agency in the midst of the presidential elections procedure in Egypt.
Farid Monib underlined the two countries’ stability role in an unstable region and characterized the Greek-Egyptian relations strategic and historic. He also expresses his certainty that the discovery of the energy deposits will further strengthen the bilateral relations and in parallel he focuses on the arising benefits for both countries by the deepening of the economic cooperation between Greece and Egypt.
On the occasion of Greece’s Independence Day celebrated on March 25, he congratulated the Greek people for the day and sent a message of gratitude and support from the people of Egypt. Depicting the picture of the Egyptians visiting or living in Greece including himself, he said that they feel like home “The support of the Greeks to us is clear in all the sectors not only in politics but in the economy, the culture and the society. In this context he expressed the certainty that the people of Greece and Egypt will overcome the economic crisis.
