Revenue from tourism reached €293,8 mn in October 2018 compared to €277,1 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 6,0%, according to the results of the Passenger Survey, published on Monday by the Statistical Service, CNA reports.
Between January – October 2018 revenue from tourism stood at €2.562,3 mn compared with €2.493,8 mn in the corresponding period of 2017, recording a rise of 2,7%, said Cystat.
Expenditure per person rose to €677,60 in October from €681,05 in the corresponding month of the previous year, a decrease of 0,5%. Expenditure per person/per day in the tenth month of 2018 compared to the same month of 2017 recorded increased by 4,0% (from €73,23 to €76,13). The average length of stay was decreased by 4,3%, from 9,3 days in October 2017 to 8,9 days in October 2018.
