Cyprus Tourism revenue rises by 3.1% in January

Revenue from tourism reached €39,6 mn in January 2019 compared with €38,4 mn in the same month of the previous year, recording an increase of 3.1%, the Statistical Service said on Thursday, according to CNA.

According to Cystat, expenditure per person dropped to €483,26 in January 2019 compared with €506,49 in the same month last year, a decrease of 4.6%.

Expenditure per person/per day decreased by 3.5% (from €56,28 to €54,30).

A fall of 1.1% was also recorded in the average length of stay, from 9,0 days in January 2018 to 8,9 days in January 2019.
