One new coronavirus case announced in Cyprus on Monday

One new COVID-19 case was announced by authorities on Monday, out of a total of 1,916 tests, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 1,488, CNA reports.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Health says that according to data the Epidemiological Monitoring Unit received from the laboratories which conduct the tests out of 1,916 laboratory tests one person tested positive with COVID-19.

The person who tested positive is a tourist from Poland, who arrived in Pafos through Germany on August 30 and underwent testing as part of a random testing procedure on the passengers of his flight.
