Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openess Kostas Fragogiannis has concluded a two-day working visit to Montenegro’s capital Podgorica, the foreign ministry announced on Friday, ANA reports.
During his visit on March 27-28, Fragogiannis met Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spaji?, the Deputy Prime Minister responsible for economic policy, Nik Gjeloshaj, Finance Minister Novica Vu?kovi?, and Energy Minister Sa?a Mujovi?, as well as representatives of the country’s economic agencies.
On his part, Spaji? praised the efforts of the Greek government in the field of economic reforms, describing Greece as an example to follow in the Balkans and throughout Europe. At the same time, he called on Greek companies to strive for participation in major infrastructure projects, with a budget of eight billion euros, which his government plans to implement within the next five years.
Moreover, he examined with the deputy prime minister ways of attracting Greek investments to Montenegro, strengthening bilateral trade in goods as well as utilizing Greek know-how in sectors such as construction, agri-food, finance, energy, and maritime transport.
He also had the opportunity to attend a celebration for the national anniversary, organized by the Greek embassy, where he addressed a greeting, in the presence of the President of the country, Jakov Milatovi?.
