In the context of strengthening professional contacts with the Irish market, the GNTO UK & Ireland Service participated in the B2B event Meet the Media 2025, which was organized in Dublin, on 09-10 February 2025.
The event brought together 126 representatives of the Irish media and influencers with great success. It is considered the most important event for substantive contact and acquaintance with the Irish media for the planning of familiarization trips and the promotion of our country in the Irish market. In the context of the good cooperation between the GNTO UK & Ireland Office and the organizers, the GNTO was invited to participate at no cost to the Organization.
Meet the Media is a professional B2B networking event that connects Irish Media (print, TV, online, digital, bloggers, and influencers) with travel service providers from all over the world, such as airlines, hotels, tourism organizations, and travel agents. With 50 international participants, such as Atout France, Visit Portugal, TurEspa?a, Visit Switzerland, Visit Malta, and Croatian Tourism Board, the event recorded almost 1000 appointments in one day. This is one of the most important events in Ireland, offering unique opportunities to contact leading Irish media, such as The Irish Times, Irish Sun, Irish Daily Star, Irish Daily Mail, and TheTaste.ie, Belfast Telegraph, DMG Media, Sunday Independent, etc.
The Head of the Greek National Tourism Organisation UK & Ireland Service, Ms. Eleni Skarveli, successfully represented the Greek National Tourism Organisation, holding 35 pre-arranged meetings and speed networking, having the opportunity to talk to almost all participants, while also following the rich two-day program of the organizers.
Through interaction with renowned representatives of the Irish Press and important content creators who set trends on Social Media, actions and press trips were planned for this year’s tourist season, while contacts were expanded with leading Irish travel journalists and editors at one of the most important events of its kind in Ireland.
