Pieria's promotion in the Italian market – POTAP's participation in the BIT exhibition

The Pieria Tourism Development and Promotion Organization (P.O.T.A.P.) participated in the international tourism exhibition in Milan BIT.

The International Tourism Exhibition in Milan has been one of the most important tourism exhibitions in Europe for years. BIT focuses on the philosophy of tourism development through well-being, experiences, and sustainability, while attracting a significant number of visitors each year from both businessmen in the sector and the wider public. This year’s exhibition was held over the three-day period from 9 to 11 February 2025.

With a wide variety of printed and digital material, P.O.T.A.P. highlighted the natural beauties of Pieria with an emphasis on the many choices and the rich history, elements that highlight Pieria as a unique destination, combining the “sun-sea” diptych with the narrative and traditional yesterday, culture, gastronomy, tourist infrastructure and alternative forms of tourism, in the light of a world natural monument, Olympus.

In addition, in a central hotel in Milan and within the framework of the exhibition’s parallel events, P.O.T.A.P. together with the Region of Central Macedonia and the Tourist Organizations of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki (photo), organized a special event where it informed the Italian tour operators about the potential of the offered possibilities and through audiovisual material the advantages of the destination “Olympus Riviera”.

P.O.T.A.P. was represented by the Office Manager of the Organization, Mrs. Vasileia Kagassidou, who developed the positive components that define Pieria as a tourist destination throughout the year, with a multitude of options, while at the same time having a series of constructive contacts with tourism bodies, as well as with Italian Media, as well as tour operators.
