Turkish tourists arrive in Greek island of Rhodes this season

The president of the Rhodes Hoteliers Association, Yiannis Papavassiliou, noted an extreme interest in holidays in Rhodes from Turkish tourists during the Association’s first appearance at the EMITT tourism exhibition in Istanbul.

As Mr. Papavassiliou reports, the conclusions and messages are positive: Aegean Airlines has already announced two flights per week, directly from Istanbul to Rhodes (starting on May 27, every Tuesday and Thursday) while the relevant announcement is also expected from Turkish Airlines, which is awaiting the formal approval process to add two more flights per week.

“We consider that Istanbul is a Hub (passenger transit center) and its connection with Rhodes will bring positive results in terms of visitors from the USA, Asia, Australia, India, and other countries. I think that this project will be positive and in the coming years, tourism from (and through) Istanbul will increase – as happened with ships” he emphasizes in a post on social networks.

Regarding the connection of Rhodes by ferry with the opposite Turkish coast, the positive thing is that the routes with the following ports are multiplying: daily with Fethiye, with Bodrum (seven times a week while last year we had only once a week), Marmaris, while we also expect a connection with the port of Miletus once a week.
