Greece was visited by the editor-in-chief of the Guide, Mr. Jean-Philippe Damiani, who visited Ioannina, Zagorochoria, the Vikos Gorge, Monodendri, Dodoni and Meteora, as ideal alternative sustainable holiday destinations for the French public throughout the year.
The aim of the familiarization trip was to collect the necessary material for writing two tributes to the leading French guide Routard and its online edition www.routard.com.
With an emphasis on unique natural landscapes, gentle activities, culture, and gastronomy, the first article concerned the Meteora region and was followed by the tribute to Epirus (Ioannina and Zagorochoria), while Epirus is also included in the guide’s major tribute under the title: Where to travel in 2025.
