A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed by the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel & Tourism Agencies (FedHATTA) with the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, sealing the strategic alliance of the Greek and Spanish business worlds in tourism matters.
The memorandum was signed by the President of FedHATTA, Mr. Lysandros Tsilidis, and the President of the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Michalis Kokkinos, during a working lunch held at a central Athens hotel, in the presence of the former Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr. Margaritis Schinas, who expressed his warm support for the cooperation between the two sides in tourism.
The agreement is expected to contribute substantially to strengthening cooperation between Greek and Spanish tourism businesses, further strengthening the position of the two countries on the global tourism map.
In particular, the Memorandum of Understanding lays the foundations for closer cooperation between the two entities in a series of joint actions, such as:
- Joint participation in international tourism exhibitions and events
- Promotion and promotion of the tourism product of Greece and Spain
- Organization of educational and business trips
- Promotion of innovative ideas and practices related to tourism.
The President of FedHATTA, Mr. Lysandros Tsilidis, stated: “This is an initiative that brings Greek tourism, Greek travel agencies and the Greek product to the forefront of productivity and creativity, opening up in a targeted manner the prospects for cooperation with an important European market.”
