The Greek Tourism Organization decided to suspend the operation of the GNTO Service for Russia and the CIS and is already proceeding with the relevant procedures for the implementation of the decision.
At the same time, the GNTO approved the financial participation of the GNTO America Office in the communication plan for the promotion and promotion in the USA via the Public Broadcasting Service television network, of 13 new television episodes of the series The Life of Loi Season 3, with a start of promotion on July 15. According to the GNTO, this action will provide significant promotion to a reliable show and streaming network in North America, promoting Greek gastronomy and Greece.
Among the non-compensatory benefits that the Greek National Tourism Organization will receive from its financial participation is that chef Maria Loi will be able to provide up to two culinary appearances either at Greek National Tourism Organization events or at exhibitions or wherever else the Organization may direct her in the state of New York.
Another decision of the Greek National Tourism Organization extends the presence of Ms. Nicoletta Lekanidis at the Greek National Tourism Organization Germany service, in the position of Head to address emergency service needs in the Organization. The exercise of her duties begins on 26.07.2025 (the day after the end of her term), and lasts until the selection and placement of a new Head and in any case no later than 6 months from the start of her duties, i.e., until 25.01.2026.
Furthermore, the GNTO approved the implementation of a familiarization trip organized by the GNTO Italy Abroad Service in Thessaloniki and Eastern Halkidiki during the period from 15 to 20 July, with the participation of two Italian representatives of tourist agencies, Ms. Valeria Ciccotta and Mr. Vincenzo Campanella.
Ms. Valeria Ciccotta represents the travel agency Ibla Europe Viaggi, and Mr. Vincenzo Campanella represents the tourist agency Capeland Viaggi.
