A delegation of high-ranking officials from the Government of the Republic of Korea visited Santorini, as part of a research project that concerns the study of international good practices for the prevention and management of public conflicts.
During the meeting, the strategic axes of the Municipality of Thira for tourism and sustainable development, civil protection policies with an emphasis on the prevention and recovery from natural disasters, as well as the actions of the Municipality during the earthquake period were discussed. Special reference was also made to the cruise management system (Berth Allocation) implemented on the island.
The meeting took place in a particularly positive and constructive atmosphere, with both sides underlining the importance of strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Santorini and the Republic of Korea.
