The mountainous charm and cultural heritage of Northern Tzoumerka are brought to the small screen, through a new documentary by Italian state television RAI. The Municipality of Northern Tzoumerka is participating in the production, which will be filmed in collaboration with the Rome-based company Arteria Films, which specializes in the development and production of high-quality film and television projects with international appeal.
The documentary is directed by the distinguished Andrea Rovetta, a creator with a long career and multi-awarded works that have been presented at more than 50 international festivals, from Palm Springs to Tokyo and London. His collaboration with RAI includes a series of popular productions, such as the travel shows Linea Verde, Il Provinciale and Geo, while he also has collaborations with major companies such as Bulgari and Gucci. His subject matter ranges from music and anthropology to social issues and travel, always with an emphasis on live storytelling.
The documentary about Northern Tzoumerka will follow the same direction, focusing on the people who live and work in the place and the way they connect with their natural and cultural environment. The production will evolve in three phases: preparation with the selection of locations and contact with the residents, filming that will record scenes and narratives from everyday life, and the phase of editing the material to create a complete audiovisual work.
According to the municipality, his participation in the process is expected to have significant benefits. Through the screening of the documentary on RAI and digital distribution channels, Northern Tzoumerka will be introduced to an international audience, strengthening its tourist footprint. At the same time, the local economy can benefit from the increased traffic, while the cultural heritage of the region will be highlighted in an authentic and highly aesthetic way.
