Pieria “traveled” to Paris with a dynamic presence at Top Resa 2025 exhibition

The participation of the Pierian Tourism Development and Promotion Organization (P.O.T.A.P.) in the International Tourism Exhibition in Paris “IFTM – Top Resa 2025” from September 23 to 25 was successfully completed, where Pieria was presented as a destination that combines authentic experiences, rich cultural heritage and unique natural beauty.

P.O.T.A.P. was represented by the Member of the Board of Directors of the Organization and President of “Olympus Marathon” Mr. Aris Nikas, who had a series of constructive contacts with institutional and professional tourism bodies. Particularly important were his meetings with the Secretary General of the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), Mr. Andreas Fiorentino, as well as with the Director of the EOT Tourism Office in Paris, Ms. Emmy Anagnostopoulou, where prospects for cooperation and strategies for strengthening Pieria’s presence in the French market were discussed.

The participation of the Pieria Tourism Development and Promotion Organization (P.O.T.A.P.) was yet another practical demonstration of Pieria’s opening to France, with the aim of attracting more visitors from one of the most important markets in Europe.

P.O.T.A.P. was hosted at the Central Macedonia Region pavilion, which was part of the EOT’s single space, providing the opportunity for substantial promotion within a highly competitive environment.

The Deputy Governor of Pieria, Ms. Sofia Mavridou, on the occasion of the participation in the exhibition, stated: “The presence of Pieria at the international tourism exhibition in Paris constitutes another important step in our joint effort for extroversion and international promotion. Through our collaboration with the Greek National Tourism Organization and all the involved bodies, Pieria is emerging as a destination that combines the sea, the mountains, culture and authenticity. The French market is particularly important for us and I am certain that the contacts made will bear fruit, bringing even more visitors to our region.”

For his part, the President of the Pierian Tourism Development and Promotion Organization, Mr. Giorgos Karalis, stated: “Our participation in Paris was an excellent opportunity to present Pieria as a comprehensive experiential destination to the French market. The meetings that took place confirmed the growing interest in our region and open new avenues of cooperation. Our goal is to continue consistently and strategically to promote Pieria internationally, taking advantage of every opportunity that is given to us.”

With steady steps, Pieria is expanding its tourist footprint and is emerging as an increasingly attractive destination for French travelers.
