Tianjin opens its doors to Greek entrepreneurship (and tourism)

The Athens Chamber of Commerce (ACC) is proceeding with a strategic initiative with international impact, the creation of an Office of the Greek-Chinese Business Development Committee in Tianjin, China. At the same time, in mid-October, a delegation from the Tianjin Business Association will visit Athens, signaling the strengthening of trade and tourism ties between the two cities.

Tianjin, with a population of over 13 million, is one of the most important commercial, industrial and technological hubs in China, while its port is among the largest in Asia. Greek businesses, as well as the tourism industry, can leverage their presence in this dynamic city to create strategic partnerships, participate in exhibitions and get to know a market that is constantly looking for innovations and quality services.

The new EEA office offers its members a secure “reference point” in China, with information, networking and guidance for approaching Chinese businesses. In addition, it opens up avenues for collaboration in sectors such as hospitality, travel services, food and beverages, energy and technology – sectors where the experience and quality of Greek products can be showcased internationally.

In this way, any Greek company that wants to expand its activities will now have access to an organized support network and new opportunities for promotion in one of the fastest growing economic and tourist destinations in Asia.

As the EEA points out, “the operation of the Office in Tianjin is not just an administrative step. It is a strategic investment in the future of Greek entrepreneurship, opening new horizons for businesses and tourism.”
