Polish broadcast filming in Kalymnos, Pserimos and Kos

The Hellenic National Tourism Organization will financially contribute to the familiarization trip to the islands of Kalymnos, Pserimos and Kos from October 3 to 11 of a 9-member television crew of the Polish state channel Telewizja Polska (TVP), and in particular of the weekly television show “Dancing with the World”.

In particular, TVP is the national public broadcaster of Poland and has numerous television channels, both national and international in scope, covering thematic fields such as information, culture, entertainment, sports and children’s programming.

Among its main channels are TVP1 (general topics), TVP2, TVP Info (news), as well as specialized channels such as TVP Kultura, TVP Sport, TVP Historia.

At the same time, through TVP Polonia, it addresses the international Polish diaspora, while also developing online platforms (TVP VOD) for the promotion of its program. The organization plays an important role in shaping the public sphere in Poland, having a strong presence in the production of informative and cultural content, as well as in the promotion of the Polish language, history and cultural heritage.

The program “Dancing with the World” is a television series in the lifestyle and travel category, which is broadcast by the Polish Public Television. The series focuses on exploring life in various countries, presenting local cultures, customs and mainly traditional dances. It highlights the way in which people around the world express themselves through dance, giving particular emphasis to celebrations, festivals and everyday rituals.

The first episode of the show, filmed in the Greek islands, from a five-episode series, will be broadcast on November 9th and will be broadcast on TVP 2, TVP Kobieta, TVP HD, TVP Rozrywka, as well as online on the vod.tvp.pl platform.

The Hellenic Tourism Organization will collaborate with the Municipality of Kalymnia and the Municipality of Kos to implement the familiarization trip.
