With steady messages from the British market, the presence of the Halkidiki Tourist Organization at the international tourism exhibition WTM 2025 in London was completed, where it participated as a co-exhibitor at the national pavilion of the Greek National Tourism Organization.
Meetings with the major tour operators of the United Kingdom confirmed the continuation of the positive progress of the destination. Jet2 Holidays, the most important partner of Halkidiki, recorded a +9% increase in packages and airline seats for 2025, TUI UK recorded +4%, while easyJet Holidays moved to +2%, leading the average of the destination to +5% compared to 2024.
For the 2026 season, advance bookings are moving lower compared to the same period last year. However, the steady progress of recent years and the strong partnerships that have been developed with the British market create well-founded optimism for the future.
In this context, the Organization emphasizes expanding the market, maintaining the tourist season at 6 months and strengthening connectivity, with the new Jet2 flight from East Midlands – which brings the number of British cities with direct flights to Halkidiki to eight – and the new easyJet connection from Bristol.
The President of the Halkidiki Tourist Organization, Grigoris Tasios, stated: “Halkidiki firmly holds its position in the British market, with confidence and consistency. Despite the decrease in advance bookings for 2026, the stability of recent years and strategic partnerships allow us to be optimistic. We continue to work to strengthen the tourist season to six months, emphasizing the extremes of the season and the experiences that highlight Halkidiki beyond the sea.”
Participation in WTM London once again confirmed Halkidiki’s role as a mature, stable destination with prospects for further growth in the British market.
