With the aim of continuously promoting Greece as a leading tourist destination in the Italian market and strengthening contacts with Italian tourism professionals, the GNTO Italy Service took part in three workshops that took place in the same number of Italian cities.
On October 29, the head of this GNTO service, Kyriaki Boulasidou, participated in the Travel Open Day organized in Milan by the tourist newspaper Travel Quotidiano. During the workshop, Ms. Boulasidou spoke with tour operators and professionals in the sector, informing them about the latest developments and trends concerning Greece, as well as new cooperation opportunities.
On the same day, the executive of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) of Italy, Antonella Papanicola, took part in the Venice Airport Workshop (VAW), organized by the airports of Venice, Treviso and Verona, from which many flights to Greek destinations are operated. The focus of the workshop was the promotion of the network of air connections offered by the air hub of northeastern Italy for the winter season 2025-2026, while during it Ms. Papanicola had extensive discussions with representatives of other Tourism Organizations and tourism professionals in the region.
