A series of presentations of the promotional action entitled “Aristotle, Companion” | (Aristotle, Companion) is organized in New York (1 & 2.12.25) by the Municipality of Aristotle of Halkidiki with the aim of reaching travelers from the American tourist market to the birthplace of Aristotle – and not only.
The program is a philosophical, cultural and natural route:
- from Ancient Stageira (the birthplace of the philosopher Aristotle),
- to Mieza (the place where he taught Alexander the Great) and then
- to Athens (where he founded the famous peregrination school).
The presentation unfolds all aspects of the tourist products and cultural themes, which operate around the axis “Aristotle, Companion” in the Municipality of Aristotle and highlights the forms of alternative tourism, which revolve around the promotional plan.
Location, nature, elements, history, activities, culture, products, routes, sports, flora, gastronomy, wines, recreation, school tourism, conferences, symposia, lectures: everything is analyzed and developed under the communicative “umbrella” of the program, which connects Aristotle’s work with modern development trends.
Particular emphasis is given to the cultural activities entitled THE ARISTOTLE, as they are gradually revived in the Aristotelian territory.

Headed by the Mayor of Aristotle, Stelios Valianos, the mission will address travel agents in New York, who will attend the presentation at the GNTO North America Office.
At the same time, in collaboration with the competent departments of the Consulate General of Greece in New York, press conferences and presentations are being organized for media representatives of the American and diaspora communities. The presentation of educational tourism and conferences in selected university communities will also be special.
Finally, a specially priced program entitled “Holidays in the Homeland” is expected to be presented at the Greek Cultural Center of Astoria, as well as to Macedonian organizations of the Greek community in the city. The Municipality of Aristotle invites Greeks in America to invest a few days of their vacation in the Aristotelian and Athonite territory, proposing activities that will bring them into contact with the authenticity and culture of their homeland.
