The Pieria Tourism Development and Promotion Organization (P.O.T.A.P.), as part of its strategy to strengthen Pieria’s international presence, participated in the “ITTF” tourism exhibition, held in Warsaw, Poland, from November 20 to 22.
The exhibition is one of the most important events in the Polish tourism market, bringing together tourism professionals, travel agents, organizations, journalists, and travelers seeking new and high-quality destinations.
P.O.T.A.P. participated in the joint pavilion of the Central Macedonia Region, alongside the Tourism Organizations of Halkidiki and Thessaloniki, showcasing Pieria’s diverse and attractive tourism offerings. Through extensive printed and digital material, the natural beauty, rich history, cultural heritage, gastronomy, tourism infrastructure, and opportunities for alternative forms of tourism were presented, with a focus on the world-renowned natural monument, Mount Olympus.
The Pieria Tourism Development and Promotion Organization was represented by the Representative of the Pieria Chamber of Commerce to P.O.T.A.P., Mr. Stratos Chalkidis.
During the exhibition, Mr. Chalkidis held a series of constructive meetings with tourism organizations, tour operators, representatives of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), and Polish media outlets. In these meetings, he highlighted Pieria’s competitive advantages and the potential for the development of thematic tourism forms, which constitute a key strategic pillar of P.O.T.A.P.’s tourism policy.
As part of its outward-looking activities, P.O.T.A.P. actively participates in numerous international tourism exhibitions, enhancing the promotion of Pieria and creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth in international markets.
