Pieria Captures the Interest of the Turkish Market at a B2B Promotion Event in Istanbul

The Pieria Organization for Tourism Development and Promotion (P.O.T.A.P.) participated on Monday, December 8, in a special B2B destination promotion event, which was organized in Istanbul by the Region of Central Macedonia.

P.O.T.A.P. was represented by the Deputy President of the Organization, Mr. Grigoris Veidamenidis, who highlighted the comparative advantages of Pieria as a four-season destination.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism of the Region of Central Macedonia, Ms. Vicky Chatzivasileiou, who presented the strategic initiatives and promotional actions of the Region.

Pieria was showcased with modern audiovisual material, highlighting the unique experiences it offers, the hospitality infrastructure, its coastline, the natural beauty of Mount Olympus, its gastronomy, and its cultural wealth. This material attracted particular interest from tourism agents in Turkey.

During the event, Mr. Veidamenidis held important meetings with the Director of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) in Turkey, Ms. Maria Rahmanidou, with the Board of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB), as well as with journalists and media executives from the neighboring country.

This initiative is a continuation of the actions of the Pieria Organization for Tourism Development and Promotion (P.O.T.A.P.) for the Turkish market, following last year’s successful “FAM Trip” of Turkish influencers in Pieria, as well as participation in last year’s tourism exhibition in Istanbul.

Through systematic participation in international events, the Pieria Organization for Tourism Development and Promotion continues to strengthen the outward orientation of the region, promoting Pieria as a quality and experiential destination for all seasons of the year.
