Draft of Piraeus Port amended contract draws opposition's fire in Greek Parliament

A draft law to ratify an amended contract for the Piraeus Port Authority SA (PPA) concession brought the opposition of all but the ruling party when it was introduced in the plenary session on Wednesday, ANA reports.

Responding to opposition charges that Cosco, current manager of PPA has delayed implementing its contractual obligations, Shipping & Island Policy Minister Yiannis Plakiotakis noted “there were several causes” and going to court to resolve them would “destroy the investment environment the government is trying to build from the very first day” in power.
