Forbes Global Properties to host its 2026 annual conference in Corfu

Forbes Global Properties has chosen Corfu to host its 2026 annual conference, a move that is expected to draw international attention to the Ionian island, showcasing it to a high-profile real estate and investment audience. On this occasion, the company’s Managing Director, Marcus Benussi, visited the Mayor of Central Corfu and the Diapontian Islands, Stefanos Poulimenos, on Monday, June 2, at the Town Hall.

During the meeting, Mr. Benussi officially informed the Mayor of the company’s decision to host this major conference on the island, noting that Corfu, with its unique natural beauty and historical architectural identity, is an ideal destination for an event of international scope.

The Mayor, for his part, welcomed the development, while at the same time underlining the priorities of the Municipality and the local community in matters of environmental protection, preservation of cultural heritage, and promotion of sustainable development.

“Corfu is a place with a strong identity and sensitivities, which we are all called to respect. Hosting important events is welcome, when accompanied by respect for the environment and the special character of the island”, the Mayor stated characteristically.

Mr. Benussi fully agreed with the above positions, emphasizing that the philosophy of Forbes Global Properties is identical with the principles of sustainability and the promotion of the local cultural character.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor for Tourism and Sustainable Development, Spyros Halikiopoulos, who referred to the Municipality’s strategy for attracting investments and high-value-added events, which are in line with the goals of sustainable tourism development.

Mr. Benussi was accompanied by the company’s local associate, Roula Rouva, who already plays an active role in promoting Corfu in the international network of Forbes Global Properties.
