TUI plans to open some of the first nine new global concept “Family Life” hotels in Crete, Rhodes and Kos.
These hotels, aimed at families, but differ from those of other brands in that they offer activities and fun not only for children but also for adults.
Spain leads
The remaining units will operate on the Balearic and Canary islands.
According to TUI experts, growth has already been recorded in the demand for summer vacation in Spain during 2016, while the equivalent demand for Greece is still characterized ‘weak‘.
Hotel portfolio
The major tour operator will increase its hotel portfolio by 30% in 2016, including Samos, Karpathos and Zakynthos in its programs.
Prices of Greek programs are slightly increased due to the VAT hike, while in Majorca the Canary Islands, and even in Turkey the prices will be slightly cheaper than last year.
