With slightly lower prices, many renovated hotels and a much greater presence in major European tour operators catalogs, Bulgaria is looking forward to a great tourism season in 2016.
The reluctance of many airlines to schedule flights for Tunisia, the current situation in Turkey and the increased prices in Greece, have made Bulgaria particularly attractive this year for tourists who want to relax at the beach, according to a German Touristik Aktuell report.
Alternative for Tunisia
“Bulgaria is the number one alternative for those who chose Tunisia,” says Rolf-Dieter Maltzahn, head of DER Touristik Cologne.
As early as last summer, Bulgaria took advantage of Tunisia’s downturn and this will probably continue in 2016. Alltours tour operator included about 30 new hotels in Bulgaria.
Among them, for the first time, there are two Sentido hotels, the Golden Star and Golden Family at the so called golden beach of Varna.
The hotels belong to the Grifid Group which cooperates with Alltours in Bulgaria.
New hotels and offers
1-2-Fly also enhanced its offers in the Black Sea with the new hotel concept Suneo Club.
?ger Tours, has also added five new hotels to its directory, while Thomas Cook and the Schauinsland begin to offer this summer hotels in Albena resort, which is considered an ideal destination for families, offering free Wi-Fi.
Finally, DER Touristik has its own program in 2016 for Bulgaria, featuring among others the ETI Dolce Vita on the Golden Beach.
