German tour operators are adding more flights this autumn to popular destinations, including Greece, Cyprus and Morocco, but Turkish Airlines is scaling back flights at smaller German airports.
Thomas Cook and Neckermann Reisen are reacting to the comeback in demand for Kos by expanding their programme for the Greek island in September and October. The group is offering two additional weekly flights from Cologne and one from Leipzig to Kos with Sun Express and has increased hotel capacity for the two months.
In addition, Thomas Cook has contracted more flights by Condor from Frankfurt to Larnaca in response to strong demand for Cyprus. The new weekly flights (on Thursdays) will operate from October 6 until November 24.
FTI adding an additional weekly flight (on Tuesdays) from Frankfurt to Agadir in response to “continuing strong demand” for Morocco. The full charter flight will be operated by Sun Express from September 27 until October 25, covering the autumn half-term holidays in Hesse and North Rhine Westphalia. Overall, FTI has 12 weekly flights from seven German cities to the Moroccan beach resort in the winter 2016/17 season, including seven full charters with Sun Express and five part-charters on Condor and TUIfly flights.
In contrast, Turkish Airlines will suspend flights from M?nster/Osnabr?ck, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden and Friedrichshafen to Istanbul from November through to next March, and reduce frequencies on some other German routes for the winter 2016/17 schedule.
