Greece remains the second-highest ranking of the most popular destinations for Germans this summer, according to data released by TUI Germany.
The figures show that the most popular islands are Crete, Kos and Rhodes.
The first destination is, like last year, Spain and especially Mallorca, as almost every second German traveler who travels to Spain, is heading for Mallorca.
Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria are also strong.
Germany (staycations) and Italy are among the top 10 new entries this year, showing high levels of demand.
In addition, regarding long-haul destinations, the US returns to 4th place this year and Canada is back to the top-10.
