TUI promises a genuine holiday experience to British tourists, through the new “Small & Friendly” hotel collection.
The criteria for selecting the specific accommodation units, apart from high quality services, are local color, traditional interiors, home-like atmosphere and a whole feeling exuded to create the right conditions for the visitor to integrate the local way of life.
Greek hotels prevail in new Small & Friendly collection, both in quality and in quantity.
The regions and islands proposed by TUI are Santorini, Kos, Rhodes, Zakynthos, Corfu, Kefalonia, Chalkidiki, Thassos, Skiathos, Crete, Parga, Lefkada, Samos and Skopelos.
In total, the Small & Friendly collection includes 183 Greek hotels, followed by only 7 from the whole of Asia, 5 from Cyprus, 3 from Morocco, 18 from for Spain, 17 from Portugal, 52 from Italy, 19 frome Croatia, 11 from Turkey and one hotel from the Caribbean and Montenegro.
Out of the 75 award-winning hotels in the collection, 57 are Greek, while out of the 188 described as “impeccable in terms of local color”, 89 are in Greece.
For the summer season of 2018, TUI recommends to German tourists as top destination (best seller) the Greek islands and in particular 12 selected hotels in Kos, Rhodes and Crete.
Lastly, for the Austrian public, the leading German tour operator posts in social media that holidays in Crete should definitely include the picturesque streets of Rethymnon.
